6-Month Tantra Yoga Community Immersion

The six-month course includes a Yoga Alliance® USA 500h Registered Yoga Teacher™ certification, provided all required hours are completed.
This long-term program is individualized based on your specific focus, with ongoing guidance and instruction from experienced teachers.

As students delve deeper into the study of tantra at Shri Kali Ashram, the system unfolds itself to them through ever-increasing insights. For this reason, a longer course of study is recommended. For those aspiring to become tantric teachers or adopt the tantric lifestyle, we recommend a minimum of six-months intensive study. This time frame allows students to immerse themselves in the system, giving time to relax, integrate and appreciate the intricacies of the teachings. As the body and mind come into harmony, students can transcend past limitations and move toward a full and meaningful life.

Benefits of Joining our Long-term Courses:

  • Overall Health: In our school of tantra, the regular practice of āsana-s, prāṇāyāma, and bandha-s brings about changes in the energetic body (prāṇa or chi field). These shifts support health and vitality across all levels of being: physical sexual, emotional, mental, and spiritual.

  • Sexuality: Tantra understands sexuality as a foundational aspect of existence. Therefore, healing any disharmony in this area can lead to profound benefits across all aspects of life. The goal is for you to become a complete being (jīvanmukta), free from limiting patterns and unresolved conditioning, so that you can experience fulfilling relationships and a fully integrated life. Tantra teaches you to live each moment in totality. With six-months of dedicated practice, you can begin to restore health in your sexual energy. With continued study, you can gain a deeper understanding of the inner workings of the energetic (prāṇic) system, allowing you to support others more effectively and engage with yourself more precisely.

  • Lifestyle: By participating long-term in our community, you will be able to experience and adopt a wholistic lifestyle, living according to timeless principles of health and happiness.

  • Mind-Body Balance: When your chi or prāṇa system is imbalanced, it indicates a lack of harmony and coordination among your inner systems. This disharmony often expresses itself as low energy and various health issues; including physical, emotional or mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, stress, hypertension, insomnia, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and more. Living in this state can give rise to patterns that cause many to forget their innate Wholeness. However, when the energy system (prāṇa or chi) is brought back into alignment, clarity, vitality, and emotional equilibrium naturally return.

  • Philosophy: There has been a growing interest in the Trika system, Advaita, and non-dualism. At our school, we teach the full depth of these philosophies, not from an academic perspective (which often carries a colonial bias), but from an authentic Traditional Tantric viewpoint. While academics have their own interpretations, Traditional Tantrics present a wholistic understanding of Advaita as a complete worldview not limited to India, but reflected across ancient cultures around the world.

  • Self-Knowledge: Through education and meditation, you will come to a deeper understanding of yourself, others and your relationship to the world. This insight will naturally reshape your worldview.

  • Self-Love: Self-care is the foundation of self-love. In tantra, we nurture all facets of the self: the physical, emotional, sexual, mental, and energetic or chi bodies, collectively known as puryaṣṭaka. This nurturing is cultivated through daily practice and an intentional, balanced lifestyle. Tantra sees every being as inherently precious. Studying tantra goes far beyond repeating affirmations or clinging to surface-level positivity. It opens the way to genuine self-recognition, allowing you to embrace your unique, valuable and interconnected existence. As this deeper awareness takes hold, the habitual search for external validation, often linked to unresolved insecurities from childhood, naturally fades away. You begin to live with greater authenticity and inner steadiness, gradually refining how you relate to yourself, others, and the world—rewiring your neural pathways in the process.

  • Authentic Action: If you wish to share healthy, wholistic practices with others, whether as a teacher or within your personal relationships, it’s important to have these practices deeply integrated within yourself. Long-term courses provide the time to achieve this genuine embodiment.

  • Direct Guidance: You will receive personalized support and mentorship from experienced long-term teachers throughout your journey.

Long-Term Community Study at Shri Kali Ashram (SKaSTA)

We welcome you to join the long-term Kaula community at Shri Kali Ashram (SKaSTA) and experience tantra as a living path—not just something you learn, but something you live. From the moment you arrive you are not just a student, you become part of the kula (sacred community) and are invited to explore your true nature as the Divine, celebrating life as you. In the Kaula tradition, community is not an add-on; it is the foundation upon which the path is lived. Kula is more than just a gathering of people; it refers to the dynamic interplay of all expressions of Devī, the Goddess, joyfully playing (līlā) as and through you. At Shri Kali Ashram (SKaSTA), we recognize all beings and all aspects of the Cosmos as Devī expressing herself in infinite forms. We come together as a living kula of Gods and Goddesses, celebrating our Divine Sovereignty, Svātantrya, our innate freedom to live in Wholeness and authenticity.

Entry Pathways into the Long-term Community

Shri Kali Ashram was inspired by Shri Ma Kristina, who was deeply impressed with Bhagavan Shanmukha’s knowledge of Tantra and the secret traditions (rahasya sampradāya). She realized that unless steps were taken to preserve this knowledge, the traditional outlook on the science and culture of Tantra would be lost. Moved by this insight, she supported and inspired Bhagavan to establish Shri Kali Ashram.

May the blessings from studying within a genuine lineage / paramparā be bestowed upon all who study at Shri Kali / Sva-Tantra Ashram. This site would not be possible without the love, dedication and sincerity of Toma Ivanauskaite Devī and Dr. Torsten Beck.
