श्री काली आश्रम्
SHRI KALI ASHRAM
Welcome
Shri Kali Ashram is a unique Shaiva-Shakta ashram focused on sharing and preserving the traditional spiritual science of Tantra and Tantra Yoga. In accordance with traditional Shaiva-Shakta Tantric perspectives, our courses encourage students or sādhakas to live to their full potential and celebrate life.
Tantric culture involves the practice of all aspects of yoga (āsana, mantra, yantra, pūjā [rituals], kuṇḍalinī, chakras, dhyāna [meditation], dhāraṇā, samādhi, and Āyurveda). Shri Kali Ashram teaches that the world’s spiritual heritage has been preserved for thousands of years in many volumes of sacred texts, which provide a rich and complete resource for those who are initiated in to the science of reading them. We emphasize the use of these traditional texts to eliminate any subjective misinterpretations. Shri Kali Ashram offers unknown insights in to the Kashmiri Shaivism (Trika) and Kaula systems.
WHAT WE SHARE

Traditional Tantra
Students participate in a Traditional Tantric pūjā, as above. Traditional tantric systems do not place emphasis on intellectualising concepts, but on actualizing your life. Pūjās, or sacred rituals, are used to culture yourself at the subconscious level—to honour yourself as part of the Divine Absolute.

Teacher Training & Immersions
Our 200h, 300h & 500h Yoga Alliance® Certified Teacher Training Programs focus on traditional tantra yoga: that is, to be in Union with One’s true Divine Self. We see teaching as the science of self-integration so that you also can share what you have learnt.

Āyurveda
Āyurveda is the foundation of the āsana system as well as the daily and seasonal regimens taught at Shri Kali Ashram. The āsana system balances the three doṣas or constitutions of the Divine Self. These are derived from the three guṇas (triguṇa-s) or primary qualities of Nature or Prakṛti.

WHAT IS KAULA (TANTRA YOGA)?
Kaula (Tantra Yoga) is the direct recognition (pratyabhijñā) that all of reality, self (ātman), world, and Divine, is the Undivided pulsation (spanda) of Shakti Herself, inseparable from Shiva. This is epitomized in the seed mantra of consciousness ahaṃ “I [am that].” Liberation (mokṣa) is attained not by rejecting the world but by recognizing it as one’s own Self.
